Based near Maldon, we work throughout Essex and into London, Suffolk and further afield for larger and specialist projects.

Rather than trying to make everyone do everything, we operate with specialist teams across different areas of the business. This allows us to put the right people, knowledge and equipment onto each job, whether it's routine grounds maintenance, sports turf renovation, precision line marking, tractor operations, arboriculture or landscaping.

Training and development remain an important part of how we work, alongside continued investment in modern machinery and specialist equipment that helps our teams work safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

We take a practical and proactive approach to each site, adapting our work around the client, the environment and how the space is being used. Particular care is taken when working around schools, businesses, public spaces and other busy environments to minimise disruption wherever possible.

Above all, we aim to be friendly, reliable and straightforward to work with. We want our teams to take pride in the work they leave behind and our clients to feel confident in the people looking after their sites.

How We Work

Skippers Grounds Maintenance is an Essex-based grounds maintenance and specialist land services company, working with schools, local authorities, sports clubs, businesses, estates and other organisations across the region.

Established in 2009 following many years of experience within the industry, Skippers has grown from its grounds maintenance roots into a business offering a broad range of specialist services, including sports turf, line marking, arboriculture, landscaping, vegetation management and land preparation.

We've continued to grow by investing in good people, specialist knowledge and modern equipment, allowing us to take on an increasingly varied range of projects while keeping the friendly and personal approach on which the company was built.

A large proportion of our work continues to come through recommendations and long-standing clients, something we're particularly proud of and never take for granted.
