Sports Markings & Grounds Operative

Job Overview

We are looking for a motivated and technically minded Sports Markings Operative to join our growing grounds maintenance team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, has an eye for detail and takes pride in producing a really high standard of work.

You'll work across schools, sports clubs and local authority sites, using a range of modern robotic, GPS and laser-guided line marking equipment. Work varies from football, rugby and athletics to specialist layouts, logo mapping and high-finish marking work.

Previous sports turf or line marking experience would be an advantage, but we're equally interested in the right person who is practical, technically minded and keen to learn. Full training will be provided.

The Role

  • Mark and maintain a wide range of sports pitches and facilities.
  • Operate robotic and laser-guided line marking equipment.
  • Learn to measure, map and set out new sports pitches.
  • Carry out specialist markings, logos and other high-finish work.
  • Take responsibility for maintaining your allocated sites to a high standard.
  • Assist with grass cutting, watering and general grounds maintenance when required.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

  • Is practical, technically minded and enjoys learning new equipment.
  • Has a good eye for detail and takes pride in their work.
  • Is self-motivated and comfortable working independently.
  • Can solve problems and make sensible decisions on site.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Arborist Team Leader / Climber to join our growing tree services team.

The Role

  • Lead the tree team on site and ensure work is completed safely and to a high standard.
  • Carry out climbing, pruning, reductions, dismantling and removals.
  • Organise jobs and help the team work safely and efficiently.
  • Communicate professionally with clients and site staff.
  • Help train and develop less experienced team members.
  • Work with management to help improve and grow our tree services.

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is an experienced and confident climber with relevant arboricultural qualifications.
  • Takes genuine pride in producing high-quality work.
  • Is reliable, organised and comfortable leading a team.
  • Can think for themselves and solve problems on site.

  • Holds a full UK driving licence.

Additional qualifications such as rigging, MEWP, chipper, stump grinder, first aid would be an advantage.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a good knowledge of tractors and machinery who enjoys practical outdoor work, takes pride in what they do and is keen to develop their skills within a growing company.

The role is varied, working across schools, sports facilities, commercial sites and local authority contracts using a range of modern tractors and professional grounds maintenance equipment.

The Role

  • Operate tractors and a range of grounds maintenance machinery.
  • Carry out large-area grass cutting and sports field maintenance.
  • Use various tractor-mounted implements and specialist equipment.
  • Assist with sports turf renovations and seasonal works.
  • Work independently and as part of the wider team.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has a good understanding of tractors and machinery and is confident operating them.
  • Is practical, motivated and keen to learn.
  • Takes pride in their work and looks after the machinery they use.
  • Is reliable and comfortable working independently.
  • Can use their initiative and solve practical problems.
  • Is friendly and professional when working on client sites.
  • Holds a full UK driving licence.

A background in agriculture, grounds maintenance, sports turf or similar practical work would be useful, but isn't essential. We're more interested in finding someone with the right attitude, good machinery knowledge and a willingness to develop.
